The boyfried got a lot of emotional whiplash going on and reacted badly to finding out he'd been misled. But if it had been a slower reveal, I think it would have gone better. And maybe, given time, he'd've come around to "yes she's different but that's not bad".

I like to think so, too. I suspect he has some sleepless nights ahead of him, going forward, as he second-guesses/regrets his choice.

Maybe he'd've rejected her for good or maybe they just needed more time. But the nature of the dixing/haixing relationship means they don't get it. :(
